Talking Tactics: Liverpool’s new-look XI can destroy West Ham United later today

Liverpool will have their eyes set firmly on securing the Premier League title after enjoying yet another successful transfer window.

The Reds have been one of the busiest Premier League sides in the summer transfer window, which has put them in great stead with the new campaign almost upon us.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will welcome Manuel Pellegrini’s troops to Anfield on the opening day. The Hammers have splashed the cash this summer and have one of the world’s best managers at the helm, so the Reds could be up against it on their own patch.

So, having taken Jurgen Klopp’s previous selections into consideration and World Cup players, we’ve come up with a team that we think the German could line up with against West Ham United.

Have a look below to see the entire potential team in FULL…

LIVERPOOL’S POTENTIAL TEAM VS WEST HAM UNITED

We’ve gone with a 4-3-3 formation, as that is the formation that Klopp has enjoyed a lot of success from during his time as Liverpool boss. This allows the deadly front three to attack the opposition’s defence at all times, while the midfield three will work hard to keep possession and snuff out any oncoming attacks.

Liverpool will hand Alisson Becker his Premier League debut after making the switch from AS Roma.

In defence, the Reds should put their trust in Virgil Van Dijk and Dejan Lovren. The Croatian made it to the World Cup final, so Klopp will be keen to see how he has developed over the summer. Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will line up on either flanks, as two of the Reds’ most underrated players.

Naby Keita should be given a starting place in the side after completing his summer move, with Fabinho also set to make his Premier League debut. And, the forever-reliable James Milner will be his energetic self in the middle of midfield, as one of the Reds’ most consistent performers.

Lastly, Liverpool will line up with their usual potent attack that includes Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. All three players will play a huge part in the Reds’ campaign as one of the deadliest attacks in the whole of world football.
