Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured a difficult week, after their defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday put their chances of finishing in the top-four in real danger.
Jurgen Klopp’s side currently hold the advantage in the battle for the top-four but the fans are under no illusion that a wealth of changes are required this summer, with high-profile departures likely to take place amidst potential incoming deals.
One of those looking increasingly likely to leave this summer is forgotten striker Daniel Sturridge, who has struggled to establish himself in Jurgen Klopp’s ranks following consistent injury problems.
It now seems like a long time since Sturridge was terrorising Premier League defences alongside Raheem Sterling and Luis Suarez, both of whom have moved on since, and Sturridge’s likely exit will see the last of the ‘SAS’ trio that almost won Liverpool the title leave Anfield.
Fans will certainly wonder what might have been had Sturridge managed to keep himself fit but the vast majority are happy to see him leave this summer, which our landlord feels is the right move for the player too.
nice of us to employ the disabled tho

I don't think he wants to play for Klopp again.

Im starting to doubt his injured that's just the excuse until the season is over for him to move

Shame. He is so talented, I wish he could have fulfilled his massive potential. Easily the best English #9 could have been 20-30 a season⚽️

Please sell him, enjoyed the goals, assists n celebrations but the time has come. LFC needs to move on……amazing talent when fit……

He played his final game a long time ago. This has just been the inevitable long drawn out process of getting rid of him.
Some good news for LFC fans. The fraud is done @DanielSturridge

People slating him but genuinely gutted for him if this is how his Liverpool career ends. Will always be grateful for 13/14 #redordead

That would be so so so so sad though understandable because he is unfortunately physically unreliable to the club.

Can't see any club making him a good enough offer. Wouldn't be surprised if he stays on with the contract he has at #LFC.
