Charles Insomnia of course!
Seriously though, I think there will be many Liverpool fans maybe losing sleep over it. Speculation revolving around the £9million rated Wigan wide-man will have fans thinking that nothing is going to really change.
Kopites moaned of a lack of ambition with signings like Paul Knochesky and Christian Poulsen, now, dispite the takeover, it would seem Roy is happy to see yet another mid-table Premiership player join the ranks.
It’s not that he’s a bad lad. On his day I’ve seen him cause problems for top teams, however, his lack of real consistency is a worry and what Liverpool fans really have to think about is; will Charles N’Zogbia be enough to propel Liverpool back into the “Big 4”? In short, No.
I worry that Liverpool may begin throwing this new injection of money down the plug hole under Rafa Benitez… sorry things have changed at Anfield haven’t they? In all seriousness though, would Liverpool fans not rather see that money go towards quality stars such as Udinese’s Sanchez or potential transfer target Fernando Llorente? I suppose many would argue they don’t have Premiership experience, but neither did Fernando Torres and that worked out okay didn’t it?
Before the takeover Roy could be excused for not buying proper world class stars. If he keeps investing in players you would associate with Fulham’s level of expectation, you’ll be expected to see him lose some sleep come January.
