Jordon Ibe has joined Bournemouth from Liverpool for a fee of £15 million and the Reds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to see the amount they have got for a fringe player!
Ibe joined the Reds as a youngster and was expected to be of similar standing to Raheem Sterling in coming through to the senior side, but didn’t manage to reach those heights and Jurgen Klopp has now deemed him surplus to requirements at Anfield.
Ibe is a decent Premier League player and may turn out to do well for the Cherries but this move clearly indicates Klopp wants to sign players who are of a slightly better ability, and that suit his playing style as he looks to change the club’s fortunes.
