This England starlet would be the perfect Daniel Sturridge replacement if he leaves Liverpool – here’s why

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern can’t wait for their side to get going this season as they are expecting things to be rather exciting.

Indeed, the Reds are certainly looking in good shape to kick on from 2016/17 with Jurgen Klopp obviously possessing great talent as a manager and Champions League football on the agenda.

They do, of course, need to get through the play-off for that particular competition but the club will be in Europe one way or another and so could do with extra players.

To bring them in, though, the club may also look to sell players and Daniel Sturridge might just be one of those after another season hit by injury.

The Reds, though, should feel as though they’ve already got a perfect replacement coming in if they did want to sell him with Dominic Solanke set to join on July 1 – as per the club’s official site.

Indeed, if Sturridge was let go the fans of the club should feel Solanke is a more than perfect replacement for him with the England U20 striker shining for them this summer.

His pace and power makes him look capable of playing certainly as often as Sturridge despite his lack of experience and he seems a robust player – another thing that trumps the former Man City man.

Of course, he doesn’t yet have the raw finishing ability of Sturridge but he can’t be too far away and so the sooner he arrives the better for the Reds.
