Liverpool can’t quite believe their luck as they really have a chance at winning the Premier League title.
Whilst Manchester City have blundered – losing two games in a row that they had been leading – Liverpool have made no such mistakes as they remain unbeaten.
The Reds improved their back-line over the summer, an area that was hugely problematic last season. Having conceded just seven goals all season, you could say the investment has well and truly paid off at this stage.
Liverpool know they cannot afford to get carried away though, with massive games upcoming.
The January transfer window also offers them a chance to invest, ensuring they have the necessary tools to secure their 19th league title.
A sensible addition to help their defence even more could be Bayer Leverkusen and Croatia international Tin Jedvaj.
Jedvaj, (who is valued at £6.7 million on Transfermarkt) is a defender capable of playing anywhere across the back-line.
Left-back, centre-back and right-back are all positions Jedvaj can perform well in and that kind of versatility maybe very handy for Liverpool.
With games coming thick and fast in the new year, in the league, cup and Champions League, Liverpool must have a big squad to be able to keep competing in all the different competitions.
Jedvaj is a talented player that would help when needed, as he has proved this season for Bayer Leverkusen. In his 15 appearances, the 23-year-old has helped keep two clean-sheets, as well as burying two goals of his own.
Liverpool know that the Premier League title is far from there’s right now but with sensible moves in January, they really could do it.
