It says a lot about the nature of life under Jurgen Klopp these days that the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern do not appear to be at all bothered about Daniel Sturridge.
When Luis Suarez left Anfield for pastures new back in 2014, the England international was touted as the club’s elite forward and the man to help replace his former teammate when moving into a more central role.
His injuries problems only furthered the feeling that he was the main player on Merseyside as the Reds struggled as a whole under Brendan Rodgers in the following months.
However, Klopp’s regime has brought with it a stunning frontline, perhaps the most devastating in the league, and the former Chelsea and Manchester City man is seemingly the odd man out.
They claim the 27-year-old is keen to prove he still has ‘big ambition’ in the game and would be willing to force through a move, preferably to a London-based club.
