‘Wow’, ‘Need more of this’ – Liverpool fans delighted as two favourites meet on club’s Twitter post

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are loving an interview with Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard on the transition Gerrard’s been facing going from a player to the Liverpool U18’s manager. Gerrard has been retired for over a year now after playing two seasons with LA Galaxy following his Liverpool departure in summer 2015.

Since his retirement, Gerrard has taken up a managerial role at his beloved Liverpool. Gerrard amassed over 700 appearances for Liverpool, winning the Champions League, Europa League, two FA Cups and three League cups in an illustrious career at Anfield and will go down with Kenny Dalglish as one of the two best players to wear the famous Red of Liverpool.

Now though, Liverpool’s most famous number eight faces a new challenge as he steps into the managerial game with his club’s young Reds. Gerrard has done a superb job with his youth side, helping them reach the UEFA Youth League quarter-finals where they were knocked out on penalties by Manchester City. Many fans have touted Gerrard as a future first-team manager at Anfield as the Liverpool legend looks set to make his way through the Liverpool system under Jurgen Klopp.
