It has been another week to forget for Liverpool fans who are fast wishing the 2014/15 season would hurry up and finish.
Just over six months ago the Reds were on the verge of winning the Premier League title. Reds supporters have been pinching themselves in an attempt to wake up to the morning of that fateful Chelsea game where everything has been unravelling since.
Has there ever been such a dramatic downfall in such a short space of time for any Premier League side?
It’s a struggle to think of one.
And Tuesday night’s Champions League exit at the hands of FC Basel further proved just how far the Reds have fallen under Brendan Rodgers.
But for those looking for some positivity, the Reds are still just six points off a top four spot and a win away at AFC Bournemouth next week will see them enter the League Cup semi-finals.
When you consider Brendan Rodgers’ objective before the season started was a trophy and a top four finish, the season could yet end happily.
And at least none of these five worst case scenarios have happened at Anfield – not yet at least.
