There’s certainly an argument to suggest that Liverpool’s squad is perfect. From front to back, the Reds have incredible quality and strength, and that’s particularly true of the attack.
Between Xherdan Shaqiri, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, few teams can boast the sort of quality that Jurgen Klopp can.
However, realistically, another option – particularly on the right-wing – would complete Liverpool’s forward line, and fortunately, they’ve got the perfect player currently on-loan away from the club.
Harry Wilson has been enjoying a brilliant season over at Derby this term, and with every passing week, he’s looking to be more and more suitable for the Liverpool attack sooner, rather than later.
He is, of course, best known for his set-piece ability. He scored from yet another free-kick on Boxing Day for Derby, a peach of an effort from outside the area, and certainly, that would offer Liverpool another outlet going forward.
However, there’s so much more to his game that would mean that he’s at home at Anfield. He’s technically gifted, with a fantastic range of passing and dribbling, whilst he’s also a great passer and, naturally, given his set-piece ability, he’s brilliant at crossing the ball.
Is he good enough to start every week? Not yet, but at 21-years-old, there is so much room for further growth, and the Englishman has, at points, been carrying Derby in the Championship. He’s more than ready to make the step up to the Premier League, and a role at Anfield should be beckoning.
