Daniel Sturridge’s future at Liverpool appears to remain firmly in doubt beyond the end of the current campaign.
The forward’s contract at Anfield is set to expire at the end of the season and he could become a free agent, depending on whether the Premier League outfit decides to offer him a new deal or not.
However, should he decide to depart from the club, it appears he could have an interesting offer to make a move abroad.
According to a report by France Football, via Sport Witness, Real Betis are interested in the England international.
The Spanish side are understood to be keen on bringing Sturridge to the Benito Villamarin Stadium in the summer as they continue with their ambitious project.
And, European football could still be something that they can offer the 29-year-old, as they sit just outside the qualifying positions in La Liga.
As mentioned, Sturridge’s future is in doubt at Liverpool and whether he is offered a new deal remains to be seen.
The 29-year-old is likely to attract plenty of interest, as he has shown he is still capable of producing top performances, and Betis could be an attractive proposition for the forward.
The England international could thrive in the Spanish league and would also likely get the regular first-team football he will have been desperate to have at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp.
