Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are gearing up for an exciting Europa League final this week but they have their eyes cast on summer transfer business- and there’s good news to report.
Metro report that Liverpool target Piotr Zielinski has dropped a major hint that he’ll complete a summer switch to Anfield, after being pictured in a Liverpool shirt with his name printed on the back.
The 21-year-old, owned by Udinese, has impressed on-loan with Empoli this season and Polish television stations are adamant that a deal taking him to the Premier League will be completed this week, which would make him Klopp’s third summer signing.
Klopp already negotiated a transfer for Red Star Belgrade’s Marko Grujic in January, loaning him back to the Serbian side until the end of the campaign, and Joel Matip is also set to arrive on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with Bundesliga outfit Schalke.
The Reds face a stern test this week to overcome back-to-back Europa League winners Sevilla in the final in Basel, with the added incentive of Champions League football next season if they can overcome the Spanish giants.
Liverpool fans, how many more signings do you expect Klopp to make this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
