According to the Daily Star, 19-year old Belgian international Divock Origi is heading to Boston, where Liverpool are currently training, to undergo a medical ahead of what is rumoured to be a £10 million switch from Les Dogues to Liverpool.
But the youngsters’ father has since claimed that a deal to take his son to Merseyside is not yet done and that there is still an unnamed club ready to scupper the deal.
“The deal isn’t done yet. Liverpool is still the most concrete option,” he said.
“There’s another team that shows interest. We want to take a decision soon. On Monday, Divock is expected back at for their first training session.
“We would like to have everything wrapped before that day.”
It is believed that the deal will still go through as the young striker is keen on a move to Liverpool but reports suggest that he may stay at Lille in Ligue 1 on a further season-long loan deal.
