Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their afternoon suffer a major blow, as groans rang out around the bar as a highly-rated youngster edges closer to an exit.
BBC Sport state Jerome Sinclair has decided to leave Liverpool at the end of the season when his current contract expires, with the 19-year-old being extremely keen on a move abroad; where Spain is his ideal destination.
Sinclair scored a late equaliser for Liverpool in the FA Cup third round tie with Exeter City but is frustrated with his lack of first-team opportunities, which haven’t been forthcoming despite the player setting a record as Liverpool’s youngest ever player when he made his debut in 2012- aged just 16 and six days.
Liverpool had offered the teenager fresh terms at Anfield but he has rejected their advances, with the Reds now facing the prospect of losing another highly-rated youngster just months after Raheem Sterling moved to Manchester City.
Our landlord believes the continuation of this trend is a concerning problem for Liverpool, who are in need of a shake-up this summer under Jurgen Klopp- and young players could be the ideal fit for the Reds.
