The bright lights and the astronomical wages of the Premiership are impossible for most footballers to turn down but that’s exactly what £10m rated Milos Krasic managed to do in January.
Despite being in single figures for appearances at Juventus this season the Serbian international rejected the chance to join Champions League chasing Tottenham in favour of a seat in the stands in Italy.
Although Juventus do sit at the top of Seria A The Mirror report that Krasic believes spurning Spurs advances was a mistake and is hoping that the North London club will re-enter the market for him in the summer.
The Mirror suggest that if Harry Redknapp’s men do still desire the services of the former CSKA Moscow star they’ll face competition from Chelsea.
Regardless of his destination it seems certain that Krasic is bound for the Turin departure lounge as his agent is quoted as stating,
“Krasic will certainly leave at the end of the season,”
Both the London clubs mentioned do look viable destinations. Tottenham look light on options for the right wing role if Aaron suffers injury or loss of former, while the possibility of a monster bid for Gareth Bale that is too good to refuse can not be ruled out.
While Roberto Di Matteo currently seems happy to welcome back the veterans of Chelsea that Villas-Boas appeared reluctant to use the need for a second Roman Revolution is still greater than ever if the blues are to once again become serious title challengers.
Krasic would suit the style of play that Chelsea appeared to be building towards with the successful acquisition of Juan Mata and their unsuccessful attempts to tempt spurs into parting company with Luka Modric.
