Long-running Liverpool transfer saga set to move to the next stage – Report

Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be looking to the future after a disappointing end to the season and will be set to say goodbye to one of their players as he makes way.

The Reds have already been busy in the transfer market this summer and will see Naby Keita and Fabinho join them, whilst a goalkeeper and a striker is also expected to be targeted to help build Jurgen Klopp’s side to compete next year.

However, the Anfield outfit are also expected to make some cuts this summer, and Emre Can is almost set to end the long-running transfer saga following him around. Reports by Sky Sports, via Sky in Italy, are claiming that the German midfielder has agreed to a four-year deal with Juventus and is set to have a medical later this week.

The 24-year-old will join the Old Lady on a free transfer following the expiration of his current contract and struggled with a back injury through the second half of the season.

Landlord’s Verdict

Liverpool fans in the Tavern will be happy that there is finally some movement on the front of the possible transfer, with a move being touted for the last six months or so. A number of the locals were initially disappointed with the developments, with many wanting him to stay at the club, however, they will now be happy to see him go after managing without him for the last few months.
