Long-serving forward has no desire to leave Arsenal despite transfer speculation

walcottmndArsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to see their most long-serving player is keen to remain at the club this summer, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

ESPN state Theo Walcott is not seeking an exit from the Emirates Stadium, despite reports linking Arsenal to the signature of 24-goal striker Jamie Vardy and potentially further attacking additions.

Walcott, who celebrated a decade of service to the Gunners earlier this season, has struggled to maintain a spot in the starting squad throughout his time in north London and now, aged 27, he needs to get his career back on-track after missing out on England’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

Despite a potential lack of playing time and further competition for places, Walcott is keen to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place– and the pacy forward is not seeking an exit during the current transfer window.

Walcott is likely to revert back to a winger for the forthcoming season, after failing to impress when given the opportunity as an out-and-out striker, whilst Arsenal have assured the player he is still in the plans of Arsene Wenger.

Will Walcott show his strength this season or will it be more disappointment? Let us know in the comments below!
