The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are finding it difficult to get motivated this week. It has been a very mixed season for the Lilywhites so far, and after picking up another loss over the weekend, it’s clear there are a few problems at the club.
Still, there are a few things to be optimistic about. Their league position, though not great, is still recoverable, with just three points seperating them from fourth place. Furthermore, Pochettino can take confidence from the fact that a few players are still impressing, despite Tottenham’s recent poor collective form.
One such player is Son Heung-min, who has been a fairly regular member of the first team this season. He has scored a very solid 5 Premier League goals so far this term, whilst he has also bagged a further 3 in the Champions League. The South Korean forward has, simply put, been fantastic, and he’s now been rewarded for that.
The attacker has officially been named the South Korean Footballer of the Year for 2017, with his club taking to Twitter to share the news and congratulate him for the achievment.

It’s no less than he deserves. The 25-year-old has continued to impress during a tough spell for his club, and he’s been on a solid run of form all year long.
The Tottenham fans have responded to their side’s message of support in droves, with many also congratulating him for the achievment. Take a look at a small selection of responses below…

Well deserved award. The guy has had a great season so far. Goes under the radar most of the time, but just look at the goals and work rate. Awesome COYS
