Loris Karius could complete two-year loan switch to Besiktas

One Liverpool man could be edging closer to ending his Anfield nightmare in the coming days.

According to a report by RMC Sport on their live transfer blog, Loris Karius could be set to complete a two-year loan deal with Besiktas.

The French media outlet are stating that the two sides are confident of a deal being struck and he could make a switch to the Super Lig side, should he feel it’s right for him.

The 25-year-old has had an abysmal time at Anfield recently after he saw himself in and out of the side last season and saw his Liverpool career effectively come to an end in the Champions League final.

He made a couple of huge mistakes in the game against Real Madrid and was replaced by Alisson this summer when the Brazilian signed from AS Roma in a then world record fee for a goalkeeper.

However, it appears he may be given the chance to resurrect his career and get back to regular football with Besiktas, although it remains to be seen if he will complete a switch to the Turkish capital.

The Verdict:

A move to Turkey appears to be gathering momentum as each day passes and Karius would certainly benefit from a move.

The German is unlikely to play for Liverpool again and with Simon Mignolet still at the club, he could end up being a third choice, rather than being used in the cup competitions.

A two-year loan deal could come as a surprise, as it would have been thought that the Premier League side would have wanted to offload him permanently a little quicker, however, it could work in everybody’s favour.
