It's been a frustrating summer for Leeds fans this summer as Marcelo Bielsa has struggled to bring many players in.

So far, the Yorkshire club have only brought in Lewis Baker and Jamaal Blackman to add to their ranks. Leeds desperately need more players ahead of the Championship season if they are to have any hope of gaining promotion next season.

While the club are struggling to bring in players, they also be at risk of losing some. According to reports in the Sun via Inside Wales Sport, Cardiff City are keen on signing Leeds academy graduate, Ronaldo Vieira. The Bluebirds have already dipped into the Championship to sign Bobby Reid, Brett Cunningham and Josh Murphy and are willing to pay £8 million for the midfielder.

The Breakdown

After impressing for the academy, Vieira made his debut three seasons ago for Steve Evans. The following year, the young midfielder had a breakout season playing 34 appearances in the Championship. Although last season he struggled with injuries and made 25 appearances, he still regarded as one of the club's most important players in the future.

The youngster is established player in the Championship and is going to be an incredibly important player for Leeds next season.

A central midfielder who is great with the ball but also capable of doing a defensive job, Leeds must keep the former Benfica academy man.

An £8 million fee is incredibly low for a midfielder who could be a future star. In a few years, if he keeps developing at the same pace, Vieira could be one of the best young players around and an essential part of any future promotion campaign.
