‘Love it!’ – West Ham fans thrilled with latest news

West Ham supporters in the Transfer Tavern have been conveying their delight at their side’s recent upturn in form.

The East London outfit lost each of their opening three Premier League matches of the season to increase the pressure on manager Slaven Bilic, yet he and his team have responded well with victory over Huddersfield Town, and a draw away at West Brom.

That point at the Hawthorns lifted the Hammers out of the bottom three, and they continued their improved run of form on Tuesday night by cruising past Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup, with goals from Angelo Ogbonna, Diafro Sakho, and Arthur Masuaku securing a 3-0 win for the top-flight side.

The Hammers haven’t won a domestic trophy since clinching the FA Cup back in 1980, and several of our resident West Ham fans are dreaming of the possibility of their side getting back inside the winner’s enclosure this season.

Yet they face a very tricky trip across London in the fourth round, as Bilic’s men have been drawn against Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham in the last 16, with the tie to take place at Wembley.

And this draw stimulated quite a response from West Ham fans on Twitter, with many looking forward to their side pitting their wits against the North London outfit…
