Lynchpin reportedly eyed as Everton look to continue Moshiri spending

Everton will be looking to strengthen in the summer as they will want to forget about this season’s poor performances and fans in the Transfer Tavern will be watching to see who they bring in during the window.

The Toffees signed a number of experienced and influential players at the beginning of the campaign, having spent almost £200million on stars, however, things did not pan out as they would have liked.

The Goodison Park outfit are expected to sell a number of bodies, as well as bring in a few more recruits to help them challenge for European football, and reports are claiming the Premier League side are targeting a three-time top-flight winner.

The Daily Mirror are reporting that Yaya Toure has attracted the interest of Sam Allardyce, with the Ivory Coast international set to end his stay at Manchester City as his contract expires. The 34-year-old has revealed he would like to stay in England and the Premier League, however, Everton will face a host of competition for his signature, with Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers all keen on his experience.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Everton fans in the Tavern will want to see their side improve next season and will believe Toure can give them the experience and guidance they need to challenge for a European berth next season.
