Manchester City just seem to get stronger and stronger under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, with plenty more silverware in the offing.
The Citizens won’t want to give away too many points this season as they face stiff competition in the race for the Premier League title. Although, City did receive a setback in their pursuit of a transfer target recently, as according to the Daily Star, Lyon have slapped a £70 million valuation on Tanguy Ndombele.
It’s understood that Lyon have slapped a £70m valuation on the midfielder for the January transfer window.
Pep Guardiola is known to be hugely impressed with Ndombele, who was outstanding in Lyon’s 2-1 win at The Etihad last month in the Champions League.
Indeed, the 21-year-old was originally considering in the summer and interest is growing.
Tanguy Ndombele has established himself as one of the hottest topics in world football this season, and he was able to give City a first-hand experience of what he can offer in the Champions League.
The Citizens have been known to splash the cash in previous transfer windows, but Lyon’s valuation is currently way too high as the defending Premier League champions would have to break their transfer record, which seems a bit extreme having secured the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez for less.
