The Red Devils paid an initial £36m to Monaco for the services of 19-year-old Anthony Martial on Deadline Day, ending the teenagers two-year stint at the French principality side.
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev suggested the striker’s transfer could rise up to £56.7m and now Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has stated his side will earn €14m from the youngsters Premier League switch.
Quoted by RMC Sport, Aulas revealed details of a 20% sell-on clause installed in Martial’s contract when he moved to Monaco two-years ago but the latest figure is a fair bit higher than the €10m Lyon were initially said to be receiving.
Lyon, in financial difficulty, will benefit vastly from this deal and the French side are set to open their new stadium in 2015- which Manchester United fans hope to visit in the Champions League.
