‘Made up’, ‘Finally’ – Liverpool fans express delight at recent update

Liverpool supporters have been particularly downbeat in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side only muster a 0-0 draw at home to West Brom in the Premier League on Wednesday night, a result which instigated their fall out of the division’s top four.

Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their clash with the Baggies off the back of conceding a late leveller to draw 1-1 with Merseyside rivals Everton, yet would have viewed a home match with Alan Pardew’s struggling side as an opportunity to get back to winning ways. Yet the Reds were unable to do so as the Midlands outfit produced an excellent defensive display to deservedly secure a point from the encounter, thus extending Liverpool’s winless home run in the league to three matches.

Subsequently, there have been many despondent Liverpudlians in the Tavern this week, although their mood has been significantly improved by recent comments from manager Klopp which suggest that Adam Lallana should be available for selection for their trip to Bournemouth on Sunday.

The 29-year-old has managed just one minute of league action this season for the Reds after suffering a thigh injury during pre-season, which forced him to miss all Premier League games prior to the visit of champions Chelsea at the end of November.

However, the England international suffered a setback after that match and has since not featured for the Merseysiders, yet Klopp confirmed in his pre-Bournemouth press conference on Friday that he ‘should’ be available for selection on Sunday.

And, unsurprisingly, news of Lallana’s possible return has stimulated quite a reaction from Liverpool fans on Twitter…
