Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are excited about the changes Jurgen Klopp could ring at Anfield this summer and one reported target has opened the door for a high-profile transfer.
Spanish outlet Marca quote River Plate striker Lucas Alario as revealing his admiration for Liverpool, even stating he owns a shirt from the Merseyside giants.
‘Yes, I have a shirt from them. I do career mode with that team [on the PlayStation]. I really like the colour red, I admit.’
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals in 16 appearances for the Argentine side this season and Klopp is said to be a big admirer of the young forward’s talents, which has led to speculation he could move to the Premier League in the summer.
Liverpool are likely to alter their forward line in the summer, with the most high-profile casualty of the rebuild being major transfer flop Christian Benteke, but our landlord doesn’t feel Alario will make the move to England this year.
