Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have seen their dreams of bringing a heroic figure back to Old Trafford suffer a significant blow, after the man in question agreed on a dramatic u-turn.
Spanish outlet Don Balon state Cristiano Ronaldo has sensationally agreed a new deal to stay with Real Madrid this summer, although he has one final demand if he is to put pen to paper.
United fans will be rooting for Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final on May 28th, as Ronaldo has said he will only sign a new deal if Los Blancos overcome their city rivals and clinch a second European crown in three years.
The contract, a staggering £15.8m-a-year deal until 2020, would likely see the Portuguese icon end his career with the Spanish giants, as he would be 35 by the time that deal came to a close.
Fortunately for United, there’s still a chance that Ronaldo could snub this deal but our landlord believes the Red Devils will have to pull out all the stops to beat Paris Saint-Germain to the signature of the multiple-time Ballon D’Or winner.
