After former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp recently admitted that he does not expect Spurs to spend again this January, we discussed the ramifications on the club if this happens.
The Lilywhites historically failed to sign a single player in the summer, the first club in Premier League history to do so, which has garnered mixed reactions from fans and pundits.
However, some members of the Tottenham set-up have been critical of this approach, including manager Mauricio Pochettino and Christian Eriksen, who have both been linked away from the club.
With that in mind, we asked whether Pochettino would stay at Tottenham if the club fail to spend again this month and these were the results:
Despite the manager’s dissatisfaction at Daniel Levy’s transfer approach in the summer, the majority of Tottenham fans still expect the Argentinian to stay at the club, even if they repeat their policy from the summer. A considerable 69% are confident that Pochettino would remain with The Lilywhites, even if a penny is not spent again.
While most fans will hope that the club do indeed make signings this month, they will be desperate that the manager does not move on. With Man United circling him, the fans may not want Levy to run the risk of losing him, however, by not spending.
