‘Make it happen’, ‘Have always rated him’ – Chelsea fans want Abramovich to land £18m-rated attacker

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are anticipating a hectic end to the January transfer window for their side. The Blues began the month well, with the signing of Ross Barkley, but they have yet to add to their incomings list thus far.

However, that could change before February, with the Mirror linking Antonio Conte’s side with a move for Arsenal ace Olivier Giroud.

Giroud has found game time increasingly difficult to come by at the Emirates, having been replaced in the first team by Alexandre Lacazette. At 31-years-old, he obviously wants to be playing regularly, and he’d certainly get more of a chance at Chelsea.

The move makes sense for the Blues, too, as he would offer something different to Alvaro Morata. Tall, imposing and strong, the Frenchman would fit the bill perfectly for Antonio Conte.

It’s clear that it would be a popular move amongst Chelsea fans, too, with supporters taking to Twitter to reveal their delight at the link. With one fan demanding that his team ‘make it happen’, it’s clear that this move would be popular.
