Leeds United fans have been somewhat quieter in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks following their side’s struggles on the road.
Thomas Christiansen’s men ascended to the top of the Championship after seven matches given that they won five of them and drew the other two, but they have since then won just one of their four league games, losing the other three.
And all three of those losses came away from home with defeats at Millwall, Cardiff City, and Sheffield Wednesday seeing the Yorkshire side fall down to fifth in the division, although that shouldn’t detract from what has been a fine start from Christiansen and his side.
They’ll look to get back to winning ways when Reading visit Elland Road after the international break, but before then recent reports have linked them with a January move for Liverpool striker Danny Ings.
The 25-year-old has struggled with injury since making the move to Anfield from Burnley back in 2015, but has recently stepped up his rehabilitation with several appearances for the club’s Under-23 side, as well as a substitute cameo in the first team’s Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester last month.
However, he is unlikely to get regular football under Jurgen Klopp, and as such Leeds are reportedly seeking to land the one-time England international in the New Year in a bid to give him the football he needs, as well as bolster their options ahead of a promotion push.
And this news has stimulated quite a response from Leeds fans on Twitter, with many hoping that the club can indeed get a deal done…
Laughing if we get him

The way we’re conceding at the moment looks like we could do with him converting into a centre back never mind a centre forward!

If he’s fit and is desperate to play then sign him up, loan to buy clause if promoted. #LUFC

We’re signing Danny Ings?
Doubt it. #lufc

only way I see us getting Ings is if we are going two upfront because Lasogga or Ings won’t be 2nd Choice at #lufc could be a lethal duo
