Liverpool supporters have been slightly downbeat in the Transfer Tavern this week after seeing their side concede a late leveller to end up drawing 2-2 with fellow Champions League chasers Tottenham in a thrilling Premier League clash on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men went into their encounter with the North London outfit off the back of easing past Huddersfield Town in their preceding league outing, and with the knowledge that victory over Spurs would move them five points clear in the race for a top four finish. And they looked on course for a crucial win as a Mohamed Salah brace, the second an outstanding solo goal, gave them a 2-1 advantage heading into the latter stages, only for Harry Kane to make amends for an earlier penalty miss by slotting home a 95th minute spot-kick to clinch a deserved point for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Consequently, there have been many frustrated Liverpudlians in the Tavern in the last few days, several of whom are hoping that their side can get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they visit Southampton on Sunday.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Reds fans to discuss, not least recent reports suggesting that Real Madrid midfielder Isco could be allowed to leave the Bernabeu this summer.
The Spain international made the move to the Spanish capital back in 2013 and has since gone on to make 222 appearances for the European champions, helping them to three Champions League crowns and last season’s La Liga title.
However, the 25-year-old has struggled for regular football under Zinedine Zidane in recent times, and as such could reportedly be on the move at the end of the season in a bid for the first team football he desires.
And several Liverpool fans took to Twitter to demand the club land the unwanted midfielder in the summer…

I’d love Isco at LFC, but I’m also wary of LFC opening transfer dialogue with Real Madrid.
