Christian Eriksen has played an integral role in Tottenham's rise in recent years which has seen them firmly establish themselves as a top-four club, and recent reports suggest another signing could help him step up yet another level.

Precision, flair, tenacity: three words which have been attributed to the magnificent Eriksen in recent years for his performances in Tottenham white. Whether he is playing inside from the left or through the middle, the great Dane has offered Spurs a source of creativity and magical moments which separate the good from the great in world football.

Naturally, any succcessful creative player owes a great debt to the players around them who create space in midfield and convert the chances provided to them by the playmaker, and in Eriksen's case he owes particular thanks to the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

However, a recent report from The Sun claims that a new player could arrive at Tottenham this summer who possesses the ability to help Erisken to step up yet another level, namely Malcom of Bordeaux.

The 21-year-old Brazilian established a glowing reputation last season for his performances in Ligue 1. From 35 appearances Malcom managed to find the back of the net 12 times and provide 7 assists for his teammates, attracting interest from some of Europe's top clubs in the process.

Aside from his goals and assists, Malcom provided Bordeaux with electric speed down the right-wing and a desire to beat his opposite number which consistently saw him bypass players with ease.

The injection of his ability into Tottenham's attacking play would not only free up space for Eriksen to operate in but also provide a constant out ball on the wing.

It would certainly take Malcom plenty of time to adapt to the speed and intensity of the Premier League, but at 21-years-of-age he has plenty of time to grow into the high-calibre player he is widely tipped to become.

Erisken will have a profound impact on Malcom's development, but the Brazilian will also have his own part to play in contributing to Eriksen's continuous improvement.
