Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern will have been delighted with how their season has gone, however, they will have been disappointed with the team’s blip in the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola’s side coasted to a Premier League title and blitzed every record that was in sight, but they fell short in European competition, which will be on the minds of the locals in the bar.
Many will feel that the Etihad Stadium outfit will challenge for it again next season, however, the Citizen’s are looking ahead to the future of the club with the latest transfer rumours.
According to a report in The Sun, Guardiola is prepared to take on Barcelona for teenage sensation Moriba Kourouma, who has been dubbed as the next ‘Yaya Toure’. The 15-year-old is already a part of the famed La Maisa academy, however, the City boss is willing to pay him a big salary as soon as is physically possible.
The Manchester City fans will be excited by the prospect of Kourouma joining them, however, they will know it could be some time before he makes it in the first-team should he sign. The midfielder is set for a bright future, although it remains to be seen on whether he heads to England or decides to stay in Spain.
