Man City closing in on agreement with talented 26-year-old – report

The Man City fans are enjoying watching their side this season. It has been a fantastic start to the campaign for the Citizens, with Pep Guardiola’s side currently looking destined to win the title this term. From front to back, every one of Guardiola’s players has looked good, and that places them in a very good position this season.

One player that has been in particularly sensational form is Kevin De Bruyne. The midfielder has cemented his place close to the top of the Premier League’s most impressive players, and he will be key to any success that Man City have this season. It seems as though he could be key to any future success, too, with his long-term future at the Etihad beginning to look clearer – at least according to Goal.

Goal report that De Bruyne is on course for a new deal at the Etihad, with an agreement said to be ‘very close’ to coming to fruition. The prospective deal is likely to exceed as much as £250,000-per-week, whilst the length of the contract is also said to be likely to be extended.

Tieing down the Belgian’s long-term future is, of course, a priority for the club, particularly when you consider his recent form. He has bagged 1 goal and 6 assists this term, and he deserves a lot of credit for the fine start to the season he has made.

Technical, tricky and incredibly potent going forward, the Belgian is indispensable for Pep Guardiola.

Landlord’s Verdict

Securing De Bruyne’s long-term future is arguably more important than any new signing at the Etihad.

He’s one of Europe’s most talented attackers, and alongside the likes of Gabriel Jesus and David Silva, he has been simply sensational.
