The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have witnessed a mixed season so far this year…
Despite starting the season on fire, the Citizens struggled over the festive period – and only now are they regaining their swagger in pursuit of an elusive Premier League title.
Though they are currently in 5th place, City are just 1 point away from 2nd place – but victory against Bournemouth tonight could see the gap between Guardiola’s side and Chelsea reduce to just 8 points.
In truth, things look to be turning around at the Etihad at the moment – but Pep Guardiola seemingly isn’t happy. The arrival of Gabriel Jesus appears to have reinvigorated his side, but the Spaniard is, seemingly, looking to continue that reinvigoration process over the summer.
According to the Express, Man City could look to launch a record-breaking move for Tottenham ace Dele Alli – who is also a target of the likes of Real Madrid and PSG.
The move would, of course, be absolutely huge in the grand scheme of things – with Dele Alli arguably one of the Premier League’s finest talents. A standout performer for Tottenham, Alli has already scored 11 goals so far this season – signalling just how important he has been.
Our landlord thinks that there is definitely a gap in the Man City first team for Alli, with the likes of David Silva and Jesus Navas both the wrong side of 30, and undoubtedly closing in on the end of their tenures in Manchester.
The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern would love to see him sign…
