The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern had been expecting Pep Guardiola to start utilising their talented developmental academy…
After all, the Citizens have one of the most impressive systems in the country – with a host of impressive young players currently in the ranks below senior level.
One such player is young central defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have touted as a future first team captain – but it would appear as though that is looking increasingly unlikely.
According to the Daily Mail, Tosin Adarabioyo is getting seriously concerned about his lack of first-team action at Man City this season – and talks over a new deal have reportedly hit an impasse, despite the fact that his contract expires at the end of the season.
What’s more, the Daily Mail are also reporting that Everton are ready to pounce – with the Toffees leading the likes of Tottenham in the race to sign the talented youngster.
It will come as a huge blow to the Man City fans in the Tavern, many of whom have been clamouring to see some youth development over the last few years. Managers in the past have often preferred to sign players instead of developing them – and it would appear as though Pep Guardiola is following in that path.
It’s a shame, as Adarabioyo is an incredible young player – as shown below…
