Man City eyeing swoop to land exceptional European defender

AlabaThe Manchester City fans by the dartboard have been gathering around an article on someone’s phone, which links their team with a move for one of Europe’s finest defenders.

The Daily Star state Pep Guardiola is keen to bring Austrian defender David Alaba with him when he moves to Manchester City in the summer, with a plan to raid his former employers Bayern Munich.

With both of City’s left-backs, Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clichy aged 30, the prospect of signing Alaba is even more attractive.

The 23-year old is also very versatile as he is capable of playing at full-back, on the wing, in central midfield, or even as a central defender as part of a back three.

With Guardiola’s former Barcelona executives at the helm at the Etihad, they are expected to hand him a huge transfer fund and, with Alaba currently having two years remaining on his contract, he is expected to cost around £40million.

Our landlord believes that full-back is one of City’s transfer priorities this summer and that Alaba would be an excellent addition, both in the short term and long term.

Manchester City fans, would Alaba be one of the biggest signings for your club this season? Let us know in the comments below!
