Manchester City fans may not have realised what all the fuss was about this time last year with Bernardo Silva. The Portuguese midfielder was good without being amazing in his debut season in English football, but then in this season he’s exploded into life and now, two years on from his £43 million to Manchester from Monaco he’s being lauded a hero.

The Citizens have greatly benefitted from Pep Guardiola snapping up the versatile middle man. Silva can play on either wing or in a deeper midfield base, and if he stays on at The Etihad and puts some more years behind him in Manchester then he can quite easily go down as a legend. This season alone he’s bagged himself 13 goals and 14 assists in 51 games and £43 million is looking like a bargain.
If Guardiola was to part with the midfielder the bid would have to be a colossal one. The Man City man has all the makings of a hero at the club and even after just seasons the fans are talking of the Bernardo Silva becoming a legend. The former Monaco man obviously seems to love life at the club, so it wouldn’t be a strange move for him to stick around and bask in Man City’ success whilst he can.

City fans everywhere are lauding Bernardo Silva and who can blame them? The Portuguese midfielder is one of the best in the Premier League and can be a hero at the club if he sticks around long enough.
