Manchester City have been completely dominant in recent times, but they still find themselves trailing Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.
The Citizens will be looking to secure at least one piece of silverware at the Etihad in the current campaign, as they are in with a good chance in all competitions at this moment in time.
However, it appears as if Pep Guardiola is looking towards the summer transfer window, as according to ESPN, Manchester City are interested in signing Ben Chilwell.
It’s thought that Man City will step up their bid to bring in a top quality left-back in the summer with Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell among their leading targets.
Of course, Benjamin Mendy’s injury troubles have put the Citizens in a spot of bother as they’re currently lacking quality replacements at left-back, with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Danilo being their only options.
Chilwell has gone on to secure a number of England caps, as well as impressing in the Premier League at the King Power Stadium this season, so it comes as no surprise that City are interested in the Leicester star.
Manchester City will feel confident that they can still go out and secure the Premier League title without strengthening this month, having looked far superior in recent times.
Ben Chilwell, who is valued at £22.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has established himself as one of the best left-backs in English football, so he could definitely fill the void on the left-hand side of City’s defence.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
