Manchester City have been one of the form teams in the Premier League this season as they continue to hunt down a second successive title.
The Citizens face competition for the title in the current campaign, with Liverpool and Chelsea hot on their tail. Although, it appears as if the Manchester club are looking to strengthen in January, as according to the Telegraph, Manchester City are interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele.
Manchester City are considering a £40 million move for Tanguy Ndombele.
Pep Guardiola wants a midfielder to provide competition for Fernandinho in the short term and to be the Brazilian’s long-term replacement. And, Ndombele has been identified as a possible solution.
City failed to sign Jorginho prior to his move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window, so they desperately need to make amends in January.
Manchester City could do with bringing in a central midfielder to help with their title push as Fernandinho continues to get on with age. Also, after missing out on Jorginho back in the summer months, it’s important that Pep Guardiola addresses any potential weaknesses in the middle of midfield.
So, after witnessing his fine performance at the Etihad earlier on this season in the Champions League, it appears as if the Citizens will launch a bid for him in January.
