The Mirror report that Manchester City are the latest club to join the chase for Philippe Coutinho, with the Brazilian already attracting the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Reports first emerged of City’s interest in April and those links have intensified since, with Coutinho expected to leave Anfield if Liverpool fail to seal a top-four spot this season.
23-year-old City is seen as the perfect replacement for David Silva, now 30, but Liverpool are likely to fend off any interest from their Premier League rivals after losing Raheem Sterling to the Citizens over the summer.
Barcelona seems the most likely destination, as Coutinho would link-up with close friend and compatriot Neymar, whilst the financial might of Real Madrid can never be ignored.
Our Scouse punters are accepting that Coutinho is destined to leave and are moaning that their club is now being used as a platform to reach bigger sides, after losing Sterling and Luis Suarez in recent years.
