Manchester City and Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have had to be separated once again, after the latest reports concerning the rivals’ push for one big signing.
German outlet Suddeutsche Zeitung state Manchester City lead Manchester United in the chance for Schalke’s German wonder-kid Leroy Sane, who is rated at a staggering £40m.
Sane, who is currently on duty with Germany at Euro 2016, is a top-target for new Citizens boss Pep Guardiola and the Premier League giants are currently rated as the favourites to seal the signature of the 20-year-old.
However, the Premier League duo need to be wary of interest from Guardiola’s former employers Bayern Munich, as reports state the serial Bundesliga champions must not be overlooked in the chase for Sane’s services.
United have already experienced first-hand that Bayern can swoop in and steal a deal, after the Bavarians signed Renato Sanches, but City are still rated as favourites for the player, despite Bayern’s interest.
