Our resident Manchester City fans are over by the bar today, discussing the promising potential of some of the youngsters who featured in their 5-1 FA Cup loss at Chelsea.
However, they may be more interested to hear that The Metro have reported that City are interested in signing Toni Kroos.
Current Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is set to take over at City in the summer and reports indicate that he could be set to lure the 26-year-old, who was managed by Guardiola for a year at the Allianz Arena, to the Etihad.
The German midfielder is believed to be seen by Guardiola as the ideal replacement for Yaya Toure, who has also featured under Guardiola before, but is expected to leave before next season.
Kroos, who has 8 assists in La Liga this term, would be a suitable option to fit into a new look midfield under Guardiola. However, our landlord points out that the Blues may face competition from several other clubs, including Chelsea.
