Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern will be celebrating their official crowning as Premier League Champions and will be looking ahead to who the club brings in during the summer transfer window.
The Citizens had run away with the title from the beginning of the season and Pep Guardiola’s side claimed the win as their city-rivals Manchester United suffered defeat to West Bromwich Albion. The Spaniard is now looking to add to his team to help them compete for the Champions League and has already identified where he wants to strengthen.
According to reports in The Sun, Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha has been linked with a move back to Manchester, however, on the blue side of the city. The Eagles winger has been in fine form for the south London outfit, helping them with their relegation battle.
City will need to compete with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea for the Ivory Coast international and it is thought to cost them in the region of £50million to prise him away from Selhurst Park.
Manchester City fans in the Tavern will be excited to see another “homegrown” player to arrive at the club and try and help them with their aims of winning the Champions League, although some of the punters may be concerned with how he struggled when at Manchester United.
