Our resident Manchester City supporters who are downing their sorrows with a pint after their poor performance against Liverpool have gathered around our landlord’s smartphone to read an article linking their club with a young talent.
According to ClubCall, the Blues are eyeing up Juventus centre forward Moises Kean, who has been named the ‘new Mario Balotelli’.
The word around the Tavern today indicates that City have sent their scouts to watch the 16-year old play twice and have developed a serious interest.
Kean, who also represents Italy at Under-17 level, is believed to be a physically imposing forward.
Clubcall claim that Juventus have acknowledged City’s interest and have subsequently offered him a new contract in an attempt to keep him in Italy.
However, our landlord believes that the proposition of playing under Pep Guardiola at City next season may persuade him to make the move to the Etihad Stadium.
