This is huge for the Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern…
Kevin De Bruyne has been a huge miss for Manchester City, with the Belgian midfielder currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.
This has seen him miss some important fixtures, including perhaps most notably the Tottenham clash – in which Pep Guardiola’s men fell to their first defeat of the season.
Despite the defeat, the Man City faithful in the Tavern are feeling buoyant ahead of the return of the Premier League this weekend – and they could be set for a huge boost ahead of their Everton clash.
According to the Guardian, Kevin De Bruyne is recovering from his injury more quickly than expected – and he could even be fit for the game this weekend.
Whilst the Guardian describe the likelihood as an “outside chance” – the report still comes as a huge relief to the Man City fans in the Tavern; especially ahead of City’s Barcelona clash next week.
Our landlord thinks that De Bruyne could get a short run out against Everton to build up his match fitness ahead of the Champions League clash – and that could be crucial. No matter the length of time that he is on the pitch, the Belgian can flip the game on its head with ease.
De Bruyne has been in electric form so far this season, and appears to have found a new lease on life under Pep Guardiola. He has played 6 games for City so far, and scored 2 goals in the process.
The Man City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are excited!
