Man City look to be far and away the best side in the Premier League this season as Pep Guardiola puts his stamp on the English game and has City playing some of the best football we have seen for quite some time.
Our landlord here at the Tavern has been super impressed with City thus far, and in the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, and Sergio Aguero, the Blue half of Manchester can boast some of the best talents in the Premier League.
Despite their immense talent and depth, there is always room for improvement and new players to be brought into the fold, and our landlord thinks that young German forward Timo Werner could be an shrewd capture for Guardiola in 2018.
Werner has shot to prominence in the last 12 months and is now a regular name in the German national team, as well as the main man and star for club side RB Leipzig.
The 21-year-old looks to have all the tools to be a top player if he carries on at the rate he is going, and City could well be wise to steal a march on the top German clubs and try and snap him up in the next six months.
Werner would secure Guardiola’s front line for the coniserable future, and the thought of pairing Werner with young Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus is somewhat of a mouth watering prospect for City fans.
City fans, what do you make of Werner? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
