The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting a busy summer at the Etihad…
The Citizens are going well in the Premier League, and they are still in the hunt for another Premier League title – but the problems at the Etihad are clear.
The majority of the punters in the Transfer Tavern were backing the Sky Blues for the Premier League title at the start of the season, and the fact that they are behind in the race would suggest that they have seriously regressed under Pep Guardiola.
The ex-Barcelona chief will be given a stay of execution, though, regardless of where his side finishes in the league – and many of the Man City fans in the Tavern are expecting a few players to be signed over the summer.
Whilst the summer transfer window is still a few months away, it would appear as though Man City are already planning for that process – and Guardiola has reportedly received a huge boost in the pursuit of one of his primary targets.
According to the Mirror, Man City have moved forward in the race to sign Juventus star Paulo Dybala – with the Serie A side reportedly preferring to sell to a Premier League side rather than another Italian outfit.
The Mirror are reporting that Man City are ready to make a move of around £25.5 million to get the deal done – with Guardiola seemingly keen to secure the forward.
This, you would think, could spell the end of Sergio Aguero’s tenure in Manchester. He is reportedly keen to move on over the summer, and if another forward comes in – you would imagine that the likelihood of him leaving will increase dramatically.
