Man City reportedly in talks over transfer for £100,000-per-week midfielder

The Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been surprised at the lack of action that Nolito has received this season, and it appears as though the Spaniard isn’t going to get another chance…

According to the BBC, Man City are in talks with Real Betis regarding a transfer with Nolito, with the Spanish outfit reportedly keen on signing the midfielder. A £3.4m deal is apparently being discussed, leaving the fans in the Transfer Tavern surprised.

Nolito, who reportedly earns £100,000-per-week, was, of course, one of Man City’s first deals of the summer following Pep Guardiola’s arrival. He was a regular at first, but has seen his game time diminish as time has gone on.

It was always going to be tough for the Spaniard, given the depth on show at the Etihad. With the likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne all available to Pep Guardiola – Nolito was always going to find it difficult.

That being said, the Man City fans in the Transfer Tavern are keen for him to be given another chance – as he has impressed when he has played this season.
