Man City set to sign exceptional striker until 2020

AgueroOur resident Manchester City fans who were drinking to forget their horrendous 3-1 home defeat to title rivals Leicester have raised their pints in celebration, after Goal reported that Sergio Aguero could be about to sign a contract extension.

The 27-year old only signed a new deal back in 2014 which will see him remain at the Etihad until 2019, but he could now be set for another additional year.

The Argentine striker has struggled with various injuries this season, but his prolific nature in front of goal has seen him net 18 goals in 25 appearances in all competitions.

Aguero admitted after his previous extension that he would like to return to his boyhood club Independiente once his contract expires, a move which could still be on the cards even if it were delayed by a year.

Goal believe Aguero has been further inspired by the recent announcement that Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola will take charge at City in the summer and will look to stick around for longer, as he is an integral part of the Blues’ squad.

Manchester City fans, how happy are you that Aguero could be set to renew his contract? Let us know in the comments below!
